Gabriel Shanks | Creator and Executive Producer

Gabriel has directed over fifty productions across the United States in Europe, including Stealing Pears, part of In Praise of Folly: The Don Quixote Project (2007 OBIE Award). He has directed at HERE, LaMaMa, LPAC, the New Ohio, The Bushwick Starr, Ars Nova, Downtown Art, Dixon Place, The Red Room, CAP21, Abingdon Theatre, The Brick, Labyrinth, New Georges, Judson House (NYC), and theaters in Atlanta, Washington DC, Baltimore, Seattle, Philadelphia, Chicago, Vienna, Sofia, Bucharest, and Budapest, among others. The author of seventeen plays and screenplays, his work has been seen in dozens of productions on four continents. EXTRA ROOM is his first series as writer and producer.


Nilan | Actor ("Nic"), Writer, Executive Producer

Pinkhouse Productions | Executive Producer

Pinkhouse Productions is a theatre, film, and interdisciplinary production company dedicated to original and inspiring work. Founded by Lawryn LaCroix, Pinkhouse has both a New York and Los Angeles presence in theatrical and film circles, and has worked with both Tony and Emmy winners on Pinkhouse original productions. The team is comprised of Executive Producer Lawryn LaCroix and Associate Producers Kaylyn Buckley.


Cherrye J. Davis | Actor ("Rey"), Writer

An actor, poet, playwright, educator, and MC, Cherrye is a proud graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (PHTS). Her TV and film credits include Rain, Kitty Bainbridge is Dead (Reel 5), For Flow (25 to Life/HBO), Cold April (Burning Clown). As a writer, Cherrye has created How To Mourn An American: An Instructional (Public Theater #BARS Residency, LPAC), Tapes (The Movement Theater Company), Sold!, and Dreams in Scar Space. An in-demand actor, she has been seen in Manna Hata: The Wonder City (Peculiar Works), Caesar and Cleopatra (Workshop Theater Company), Hope Speaks (TMTC), Immortal (Bushwick Starr), Bintou (TMTC), The Crucible (PHTS), and For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide...(NYU). She can also be found performing with Hip Hop/Funk Machine Deathrow Tull , as well as The Nervous, a roots-blues experience.


Marc Stuart Jablonski | Actor ("Beau"), Composer

Marc is a composer/sound artist and performer based in New York City. His music and sound has been heard at HERE Arts, the Gym at Judson, the Leslie-Lohman Museum, Dixon Place, the Drama League, the PIT Loft, the NJ Rep, among others. Selected original pieces include: Parlez Vous (musical), Angela B. Moonlanding (musical), Circulus in Probrando (sound installation), Opportunity (musical).


Jeffrey James Keyes | Actor, Writer

Jeffrey James Keyes co-authored the New York Times bestseller Killer Chef with James Patterson for Hachette Book Group and Little, Brown and Company. His award winning short film Uniform has been the official selection of nearly twenty film festivals in 2018 including NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, Out on Film (Atlanta), Q.Fest (St. Louis), North Carolina Gay + Lesbian Film Festival, Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival, the London Lesbian Film Festival and the Buffalo International Film Festival. Catalin Stelian | Actor ("Ion")

Born in Romania, Catalin received his training at Bucharest's Hyperion University before relocating to New York City. His screen work includes the smash comedy series "Nobody's Perfect", which ran for three acclaimed seasons in Europe, the short film "Bearish", "Desperate Ghosts", "Chosen", and "Horse Power," which won the 2014 Cottbus Film Festival and was a Golden Pardino Nominee at the 2014 Locarno International Film Festival. He is a cast member of the web series "Skeleton Crew." Catalin's photography has been seen in galleries and private art collections worldwide. An accomplished media director, he has created photography and video campaigns for clients including Dallas BBQ, Tony Di Napoli's, Skyy Vodka, Downtown Art, and Josh Cellars, as well as post-production for the feature film "BearCity 3" and documentary "All Male, All Nude!".


Joe Reault | Assistant to the Writers/Directors

Joe is a Brooklyn-based writer-director who creates dark, awkward, or farcical comedy about people’s inability to cope with tragedy, anxiety, and pain. As a gay artist, he tells queer stories that reflect the current confusion and loneliness many queer millennials face. Joe studied Directing in the International Performance Ensemble at Pace University and is currently the Artistic Director of Sitting Shotgun (


Holly M. Wright | Assistant Producer

Recent credits: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) (FITS, Romania), Pretending (NYSummerfest), MASKS: An Ode to Young Women (Dyson Fellows Conference, New York), The Mystery of the Blue Jar (DTF, New York), Malcontent (Theatre 54, New York), The Vagina Monologues (Independent Productions, California). Holly is a New York based director, who works on dramaturgically detailed pieces, incorporating Lecoq-inspired movement techniques and devises ensemble-driven theatre that explores dark worlds with comedic undertones, often highlighting the world-wide politically relevant themes of power and sex through a woman’s voice.
